The Wisconsin Elections Commission is asking voters to confirm their registration, find their polling place, and look over a sample ballot at MyVote.wi.gov before the Nov. 3 general election.
Voters who still have an absentee ballot are being urged to bring it back in person instead of mailing it this late. Municipal clerks can say where ballots should be dropped off, and every absentee ballot must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day to count.
In-person absentee voting is also still available around the state. Hours and locations differ by community, so voters should check with their municipal clerk.
Polls will be open statewide from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day, and anyone already in line at 8 p.m. can still vote. People who are not registered can register at their polling place that day if they bring an accepted proof-of-residence document showing a current address.
Every voter needs an accepted photo ID, although the address on that ID does not have to be current. Details on accepted IDs are posted through Bring It to the Ballot, and help is available at 1-866-VOTE-WIS. Officials also noted public testing of voting equipment and coordination among local, state, and federal election officials.
