About The Wisco Wire

The Wisco Wire is an independent Wisconsin local news site. We cover the whole state in four regions — Southwest, Northwest, Northeast, and Southeast — so readers can follow what is happening close to home and across Wisconsin.

Our stories are written in our own words from local reporting and public information. Every story credits its source, and we link back to the original reporting in the “Sources & background” box at the bottom of each story.

The Wisco Wire is operated in Wisconsin. We are a small, independent operation, and we would rather publish a shorter story we have checked than a longer one we have not.
