Mid-State Technical College has opened registration for its Spring 2027 semester for both new students and students already enrolled.
Classes start Jan. 25 and end May 19. The college says students starting a program do not need to wait for fall, because spring start dates are offered in a range of career areas.
Spring-start options cover business, health care, information technology, culinary arts, and skilled trades. Named programs include Business Management, Medical Assistant, IT Cybersecurity Specialist, Culinary Arts, and Welding and Metal Fabrication.
Students planning on a bachelor's degree can also start through Mid-State's University Transfer programs, taking general education courses and earning credit toward a four-year degree. State workforce figures cited by the college project about 225,000 added jobs in Wisconsin between 2022 and 2032, with health care among the leading growth areas.
Courses are offered in online, in-person, and hybrid formats in many programs. Students who are not ready for a full program can take single spring courses, and eligible adults and dislocated workers may get help paying for training through Advance Wisconsin Employment.
