A traveling display about Wisconsin combat medics is now set up at Marshfield Medical Center-Weston.

The banner exhibit comes from the Wisconsin Veterans Museum and profiles 15 Wisconsinites who provided medical care to fellow service members in wartime, with service stretching from World War II through the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The display is in the hospital atrium at 3400 Ministry Parkway in Weston and is scheduled to remain there through Nov. 30.

Bryan Weichelt, a research scientist and past chair of Marshfield Clinic's Military & Veterans Employee Resource Group, said the exhibits give the health system a way to recognize veterans and help patients and visitors learn about their service.

The museum describes combat medics as often working in harsh and dangerous conditions while delivering life-saving treatment to their comrades.
