The Marshfield Area Pet Shelter will host its annual breakfast fundraiser, Paws & Pancakes, on Sunday, Nov. 8.

The event runs from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at Hotel Marshfield and features a buffet with scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, breakfast potatoes, cinnamon rolls and drinks, with items donated by Nasonville Dairy and Weber's Farm Store.

Attendees can also buy into more than 30 raffle baskets and a 50/50 raffle, and shelter apparel will be for sale.

Tickets are sold at the door for $15 for adults and $5 for children ages 4 to 12, with children under 4 admitted free.

Shelter executive director Karen Rau said fundraising events are crucial as more cats and dogs arrive needing medical care and new homes. Money raised helps the shelter care for about 800 animals a year at its home on Downwind Drive in Marshfield.
