Records released Friday in the case against Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs show that three other women accused him of abusive behavior, according to a report by The Associated Press summarized by Field Level Media on Oct. 31.
Jacobs, 28, was arrested May 26 in Wisconsin after his then-girlfriend said he threw her to the ground. He pleaded no contest on Sept. 10 to misdemeanor counts of battery and criminal damage to property. Those counts were resolved by that plea; the accounts from the other women are allegations described in police records.
According to the records reviewed by the AP, police interviewed three women about alleged incidents in April 2021, January 2022 and May 2022. One woman alleged Jacobs slapped her, grabbed her hair and threw her to the floor. Another alleged he grabbed her hair, put his hands on her neck, dragged her and scratched her chest. A third said he grabbed her by the arms and shoved her against a wall.
The accounts were part of the evidence in the battery case and were released to news outlets Friday following a public records request. There was no immediate response from Jacobs or his attorneys about the allegations that emerged Friday in the Field Level Media report. When he returned to the lineup in October, Jacobs said he was remorseful, and his lawyers said there would be no further comment because of ongoing legal matters.
Jacobs returned to the Packers lineup on Oct. 25 after sitting out the first six games while on the commissioner's exempt list. The NFL said Saturday it will review the allegations as part of an investigation that has remained open, and that he could face additional sanctions.
In two games since rejoining Green Bay, Jacobs has rushed 32 times for 75 yards and one touchdown and caught 11 passes for 68 yards and two scores. The Packers, 5-3, beat Carolina 27-19 on Thursday and play at New England on Nov. 8.
