Eight officers from the Wausau Police Department helped provide security for the Milwaukee Brewers' championship parade and rally, the department said in a social media post.
The Wausau officers were assigned to monitor part of the parade route during the celebration.
Milwaukee police estimated 750,000 people attended the parade and the rally at Henry Maier Festival Park, a crowd described as the largest single-day gathering in state history, exceeding Milwaukee's own population of roughly 560,000.
The celebration followed Milwaukee's 4-1 series win over Tampa Bay, the first World Series title in Brewers franchise history and the city's second overall, after the Milwaukee Braves won in 1957.
For scale, the NFL Draft in Green Bay drew an estimated 600,000 attendees over three days.
