Adults who write, or want to start, can gather at the Marathon County Public Library's Wausau Headquarters for a writers collective on Wednesday, Oct. 28.

The session runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the library, 300 N. First St. in Wausau.

The gathering offers a collaborative space where participants can keep working on a project already underway or begin something new. The library will have writing prompts, writing dice and other tools available.

Participants will have time to write, meet other writers and talk over topics the group chooses. Each session ends with a chance for attendees to share work with the group.

The library provides the meeting space and hot tea. The collective is self-led, with no formal class portion.

The event is free and open to the public, and no registration is required. For more information, call 715-261-7230.
