A Jersey Mike's Subs shop is in development in Marshfield, listed by the chain as coming soon with no opening timeline announced yet.

The shop will be at 1710 N. Central Ave. in Renew Plaza, on the west side of North Central Avenue in the same parking lot as Target. Other tenants in the plaza include Cellcom, T-Mobile, Renew Realty and the WDLB and WOSQ radio stations.

Signs and logos for the chain are already mounted on the building. The location will include a drive-thru on its south side.

The menu covers hot and cold subs, along with wraps and bowls, sides, drinks and desserts.

The chain began in 1956 as Mike's Subs in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, and now counts 3,477 shops across the United States, including 52 in Wisconsin. Its other central Wisconsin shops are in Plover and Rib Mountain.

The Marshfield shop is one of several restaurants in development on the city's north side. Chipotle broke ground earlier this year at 1307 N. Central Ave. with plans to open by the end of 2026, and Panda Express has also broken ground at North Central Avenue and North Peach Avenue, across from Kwik Trip.
