D.C. Everest Junior High is asking people in the community to send in names and photos of veterans for the school's fifth annual Veterans Day event, set for Nov. 9.
The submissions will be used in two ways at the school: on a wall mural, and in a video slideshow put together by students, according to an announcement from the school district.
Anyone who wants a veteran included has until Nov. 6 to submit the information through the district's online form.
The event itself runs from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Nov. 9 in the cafeteria at D.C. Everest Junior High, 1000 Machmueller St. in Weston.
Community members are invited to attend the meet-and-greet, which is intended as a chance to honor local veterans and spend time with them.
