Trunk-or-treat events are lined up across the Racine area from Oct. 27 through Nov. 1, with AllEvents counting 31 listings for the week.
The events are held at churches, schools, parks and other community spots, where children go from car to car collecting candy from decorated trunks instead of going door to door.
One of the largest is at Pritchard Park in Racine on Friday, Oct. 30, from 4 to 7 p.m., set up in the Main Pavilion Lot, the farthest north lot off Ohio Street near the S.C. Johnson Aquatic Center.
Four of the listed events are free, and the listing says most trunk-or-treats are free to walk into.
Start times across the listings run from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., most begin around dusk, and most events last two or three hours.
