Northcentral Technical College and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at Wausau have opened a new Advising + Transfer Center.

The center is a support hub for students in the Purple and Blue Advantage partnership between the two schools, which are now co-located.

NTC welcomed UWSP at Wausau onto its Wausau campus in August 2026, giving students a way to complete a bachelor's degree without leaving the area. The partnership builds pathways in fields that include biology, health science and wellness, nursing and psychology.

The schools say an NTC associate degree can prepare students for careers, while the partnership offers a more affordable, smoother route for students who want to continue toward a bachelor's degree. Nearly 300 students are planning their futures through the arrangement.

UWSP Chancellor Bob Brinkmann said the two schools' strengths complement each other and that the partnership responds to students who are balancing work, family and finances while preparing for careers, as well as to employers in north central Wisconsin who need skilled workers.
