Melissa Bradley, 52, of Janesville has been identified as the woman found dead Sunday inside an apartment in the 800 block of Myrtle Way.
Janesville police say officers were conducting a welfare check at the residence around 6 p.m. Sunday when she was found.
The Rock County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed her identity. Police announced Tuesday that her death is being investigated as a homicide, and the medical examiner's office said the cause and manner of death are still being determined.
Authorities arrested Andrew Bradley, 58, in connection with the case. He is facing a potential charge of first-degree intentional homicide involving domestic violence.
An initial court appearance had not been scheduled in the latest update, according to online court records. The investigation remains ongoing.
