UW-La Crosse quarterback Kyle Haas is closing in on the school's career passing record heading into Saturday's game on the road at UW-Eau Claire.

Haas has thrown for 6,194 yards in his career. He needs 146 more yards to move past Dennis Goettl, who holds the current mark at 6,340 yards.

The Eagles are 3-4 overall and 2-2 in conference play. UW-Eau Claire is 5-2 overall and also 2-2 in the conference. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m., with pregame coverage on WKTY starting at 12:45 p.m.

UW-La Crosse is coming off a 42-39 loss to UW-Stout last week, its first defeat this season against an unranked opponent. Haas completed 23 of 36 passes in that game for 294 yards and three touchdowns.

The loss dropped the Eagles out of the Top 25 for the first time this season. Each of their losses has been decided by one score, and the other three came against teams ranked in the top five: No. 2 UW-Platteville, No. 3 St. John's and No. 5 UW-Whitewater.
