Hannah Center Inc., a faith-based nonprofit that serves women facing crisis in central Wisconsin, has a new executive director. Kim Bousum took the role effective Oct. 24, 2026, following a unanimous vote by the organization's board of directors.
Bousum had been serving as acting executive director since June 2026. In the permanent role she will oversee Hannah Center's residences in Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids, along with Hannah's Caring Closet and Kairos Care, the nonprofit's outreach program for women in the community.
She first joined Hannah Center in 2023 and previously led the Marshfield residence as its center director. While serving as acting director, she aligned practices and training across the two locations and put in place a structure that places both shelters under a single leadership team.
Board president Connie Teska said directors had seen Bousum's leadership firsthand during a season of change and were confident in her direction for the organization. Bousum said her focus is on building a strong, consistent home in both cities so women who come to Hannah Center receive the same care and guidance at either location.
Her immediate priorities include staffing and training at both residences, strengthening church and community partnerships in Wisconsin Rapids, and growing long-term donor relationships. Hannah Center says it has offered safety, support and hope to women in crisis for more than 30 years, and people interested in volunteering or donating can reach the organization at hannahcenterinc.org or (715) 387-6300.
