Appleton police say they have identified a suspect in a string of graffiti complaints in downtown Appleton.
The department posted about the vandalism on social media on Oct. 13. Police said those posts were shared more than 200 times and generated several tips, and that the posts included images of a person and a vehicle believed to be associated with the vandalism.
Police said they have referred the case to the Outagamie County District Attorney's Office for criminal charges. Any charges would be allegations, and a suspect is presumed innocent unless convicted.
The suspect's name was not released.
