Winona Health's school-based health clinics will hold flu clinic days next week for Winona Area Public Schools students.
The first clinic day is Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Winona Middle School. The second is Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Winona Senior High School's Community Annex Building.
The clinics are open to all students in the district. Students are asked to wear clothing that allows quick access to the upper arm for the shot.
Cost is billed to insurance the same way as a regular clinic visit, according to Winona Health. Using the school-based clinics is not tied to family income.
Winona Health runs on-site clinics at Winona Senior High, Winona Middle School, the Winona Area Learning Center, Jefferson Elementary and Cotter Schools, offering services that include physicals, immunizations, minor illness and injury care, and mental health support.
Parents can schedule through the My Winona Health portal or by calling Winona Health Pediatrics at 507-457-7607. Consent forms are available on the Winona Health school clinics page.
