Communities in the Wausau area have scheduled a series of trunk-or-treat events alongside regular trick-or-treat hours. The events gather treats at decorated cars and stations in one location, and some assisted-living sites also plan times for residents to hand out candy.
The first events are set for Friday, Oct. 16, in Wausau and in Marathon, followed by an event Saturday, Oct. 17, in Wausau and another Thursday, Oct. 22, in Weston.
A busy stretch runs Oct. 23 to Oct. 25, with stops in Rothschild and Wausau, including Hy-Vee in Wausau on Oct. 24 and Wausau West High School and Sam's Pizza in Schofield on Oct. 25.
More events follow on Tuesday, Oct. 27, in Wausau, and on Saturday, Oct. 31, in Wausau, Schofield and Merrill.
