An arrest warrant has been issued for a third suspect in connection with the killing of a teenager in Sawyer County, according to a report published Oct. 19.

Prosecutors say 16-year-old Nolan Trotterchaude met with three men in June after expressing interest in buying a firearm from one of them. Prosecutors say one of the suspects shot the teen during that meeting.

The warrant names Jessy VanMeter on charges of felony murder and armed robbery. The charges are allegations, and VanMeter is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

Two other suspects in the case face similar charges, according to the report. No additional details about VanMeter's whereabouts or a court date were included in the Oct. 19 report.
