A Veterans Expo was held in Onalaska to connect veterans from La Crosse County with resources and support available close to home.
The expo brought services and information together in one room, so veterans and their families could meet providers face to face instead of tracking down help agency by agency.
Vendor tables at the event included groups offering legal help and services for older adults, among other community resources, as seen in photos from the expo floor.
Organizers described the goal as making it easier for local veterans to find the benefits, programs and assistance they have earned through their service.
Events of this kind are held in the Coulee Region to link La Crosse County veterans with county, state and nonprofit resources in a single visit.
