Registration is open for the 2026 Helping Families Gift-Giving Program run by Tex Reynolds' Toys for Tots, which provides Christmas gifts for Racine County children from birth through age 10. Families can sign up through Dec. 8.
Sign-ups are handled in person downstairs at the City Hall Annex Building, 800 Center St. in Racine, from 8 to 11 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Extra registration dates are set for Saturday, Nov. 7; Monday, Nov. 30; Saturday, Dec. 5; and Monday, Dec. 7. Registration will be closed Nov. 23-27.
Applicants need to show proof that they live in Racine County and are the child's parent or guardian, plus a driver's license or photo ID. For each child, families must bring one document, such as a birth certificate, Social Security card, medical card or immunization card.
Each family may apply once a year, and the gifts available depend on how many families register. The final gift pickup day is Saturday, Dec. 12.
A separate registration for clothing provided by Racine County Corporate Volunteers opened Oct. 6 and runs first-come, first-served while supplies last. The organization lists no registration fee, and it is not affiliated with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. For details, call 262-633-1379 or email [email protected].
