Two longtime champions of the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh have received statewide recognition for more than 30 years of service.
Kurt and Judie Koeppler were inducted into the Wisconsin Boys & Girls Clubs Hall of Fame at a celebration dinner on Oct. 25 in Fond du Lac, held as the opening event of the state area council leadership conference.
Judie Koeppler's involvement began in 1990, when she served as treasurer for the capital campaign to build the Radford Club, the organization's first new location since its founding in 1970. She has remained an advocate since, supporting events and helping redesign club spaces.
Kurt Koeppler has served on the board of directors for more than 26 years, working on strategic planning, capital development and family assistance. The couple has contributed to four major capital campaigns, every annual campaign and numerous special projects, and Kurt also guided the Boys & Girls Club of the Tri-County Area through the building of a new facility in Berlin and oversaw construction of the Oshkosh Teen Center in 2007.
Club chief executive Tracy Ogden said the couple's volunteerism, philanthropy and advocacy have shaped the Oshkosh club's growth and stability and benefited thousands of young people and families in the region. The Oshkosh club had seven inductees into the state Hall of Fame from 2018 until the Koepplers' induction.
