A Milwaukee coalition is putting on a No Kings: Vote Early gathering on Saturday, Oct. 17, aimed at getting voters ready ahead of the upcoming election. The Milwaukee event is one of many No Kings gatherings planned that day in Wisconsin and around the country.

The main Milwaukee stop is Cathedral Square Park, scheduled from 2 to 5 p.m. Other Vote Early events are planned at additional places around Milwaukee and elsewhere in Wisconsin, at different times during the day, with RSVP information available for each location.

People who attend will not be casting a ballot at the events themselves. Instead, organizers say attendees can get information about their voting options and make a plan to vote early once they get home. Organizers describe this round as focused on nonpartisan participation and community planning, rather than the protest focus of earlier No Kings events.

The No Kings effort was organized through the 50501 Movement, whose name refers to 50 states, 50 protests and one movement. Indivisible, a group involved in spearheading the events, has said the March 2026 round drew at least 8 million people nationwide, after earlier rounds it put at about 5 million and then 7 million.

Organizers list at least 1,000 Vote Early events planned for Saturday across the country. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, and Wisconsin voters can look up their polling place, check what is on their local ballot and track an absentee ballot through the My Vote Wisconsin site.
