A new Miss Wisconsin Rapids and a new Miss Wisconsin Rapids' Teen will be crowned on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 6 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center, 1801 16th St. S. in Wisconsin Rapids.

Eight contestants are competing for the Miss title and 13 are competing for the Teen title. This year's event will crown the 50th Miss Wisconsin Rapids, and the winners will represent the area for the 2027 season.

Miss Wisconsin Jordenne Butler and Miss Wisconsin's Teen Meredith Rosemurgy are scheduled to be in the lobby before the show for photos and autographs, and both are also scheduled to perform during the show.

Contestants have spent about two months preparing in weekly workshops covering talent rehearsals, mock interviews and on-stage questions. Each contestant also develops a Community Service Initiative, a cause she plans to advocate for in the area.

The competition has five parts: a private 10-minute interview with five judges on Saturday morning, worth 30 percent of the score; a 90-second talent performance, worth 20 percent; evening gown, worth 20 percent; health and fitness in Rebel Athletic wear, worth 20 percent; and an on-stage question, worth 10 percent.

Tickets for the Saturday show are $20, or $23.18 for assigned seating bought in advance online with card fees. Tickets will also be sold at the Performing Arts Center starting at 5:15 p.m. that day. An open dress rehearsal is set for 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, with tickets at the door by cash or check only. The local winners will go on to prepare for the Miss Wisconsin and Miss Wisconsin's Teen competitions in June.
