The City of Marshfield will close W. 5th Street from Oak Avenue to Lincoln Avenue to vehicle traffic on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026, for Halloween trick-or-treat activities.
The closure is expected to run from about 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. because of increased pedestrian activity in the neighborhood that evening.
Parking will not be permitted along W. 5th Street within the closure area, and traffic restrictions will also affect intersecting streets in that area.
Public parking is available near Oak Avenue at SJ Miller Park. Motorists are asked to follow posted parking restrictions and avoid blocking driveways and intersections.
Drivers should use alternate routes and use extra caution in surrounding neighborhoods, where pedestrian traffic may be heavier than usual.
Questions about the closure can be directed to the City of Marshfield Streets Division at 715-486-2081.
