Marco Seymour, 56, of Kenosha took over as superintendent of the city's Streets Division on Oct. 13, succeeding Rick Desotell, who retired.
Seymour joined the City of Kenosha in 2020. Since then he has worked as a street sweeper, as a heavy equipment operator and as a Streets Division supervisor before his promotion.
The division handles street maintenance and snow clearing, and it also responds after severe storms and helps with other city operations during emergencies.
Seymour said he tries to bring his crew together as a united team, and he credited division employees for their commitment and pride in serving the community.
As a Kenosha resident leading the division, Seymour said he hopes to do the best he can for the citizens of the city.
