Marathon County residents and business owners have until Oct. 23 to take a community survey that will help set the county's next strategic plan.
The survey is posted at marathoncounty.gov/strategicplan. County officials said the answers will help guide choices about priorities, how resources are spent and how progress is measured.
The work follows the county's Comprehensive Plan, adopted in March 2026. Leaders reviewed its 58 objectives and narrowed that list to 20 for the survey.
People taking the survey are asked to pick and rank the 10 objectives they see as most important. Topics include access to health services, neighborhood safety, economic opportunity and quality of life.
County Administrator Lance Leonhard said public participation is an important part of building the plan, and that the feedback will shape the final version so decisions reflect the needs of people who live and work in the county.
The county says its goal is to become the healthiest, safest and most prosperous county in Wisconsin.
