The City of Kenosha Clerk's Office has released voting hours, absentee deadlines and mail warnings for the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026.

In-person absentee voting runs through Friday, Oct. 30, at the Kenosha Municipal Building, 625 52nd Street. Hours are generally 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with extended hours until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 28, and until 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30.

Voters who want an absentee ballot by mail must request one by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29. Voters who are indefinitely confined or serving in the military have until 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30.

Completed absentee ballots must reach the Clerk's Office by 8 p.m. on Election Day to be counted — a postmark alone does not count. The city says ballots should be brought inside the Municipal Building, not taken to polling places or placed in utility payment boxes, and the city does not use ballot drop boxes.

The Clerk's Office also warned about election mail from outside groups, including the Voter Participation Center and the Center for Voter Information, which some residents have confused with official mail. Official absentee ballots from the city carry the official election mail logo, and voters can check their registration and ballot status at MyVote.WI.gov.

Polls are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 3, and Wisconsin voters must show an acceptable photo ID to get a ballot, with some legal exceptions. Voters with questions can reach the Clerk's Office at (262) 653-4020.
