Mid-October brings a packed run of fall and Halloween events across Kenosha County, from the Lake Michigan shoreline to Bristol and Pleasant Prairie, with several of the biggest dates falling between Oct. 17 and Oct. 24.

At Bristol Woods Park, 9800 160th Ave. in Bristol, the Boundless Adventures aerial course is running HallowGlow on Fridays and Saturdays through Oct. 24. The course is lit for Halloween, giving climbers an after-dark run through the trees.

Pleasant Prairie hosts two family stops. Its fifth annual Halloween Lights Tour runs Oct. 17 through Oct. 31, with decorated homes on an interactive map, a vote for favorite display, and treat stops at the Visit Pleasant Prairie Welcome Center on Oct. 17 and Oct. 24 from 1 to 4 p.m. The village's free Trunk-or-Treat is Oct. 17 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Lake Andrea Beer Garden parking lot, with businesses and organizations handing out treats from decorated vehicles.

The Kenosha Art Market closes its 2026 season on Sunday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Union Park, 4500 Seventh Ave. Admission is free, and the market typically brings together more than 70 area artists, along with live demonstrations, music and food.

The following weekend, Spooky Hollow runs Oct. 23 and 24 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hawthorn Hollow Nature Sanctuary and Arboretum, 880 Green Bay Road, with after-dark trail walks built around folklore, stories and seasonal displays. Downtown Kenosha's Fall Into Fun Fest follows on Oct. 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, 5220 Sixth Ave., with pumpkin decorating, crafts, face painting, a petting zoo, a costume contest and food vendors, and downtown trick-or-treat later that afternoon.

The guide behind the roundup suggests starting the weekend with a traditional Friday fish fry somewhere in the county, then filling the rest of the time with lakefront walks in Kenosha or the trails and disc golf course at Silver Lake Park in Salem Lakes.
