Lane and ramp closures are scheduled on Interstate 94 and WIS 35 in Hudson next week as part of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation's St. Croix River bridge rehabilitation project, which began in early April.

The two inside lanes on the westbound bridge are set to close Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 26 and 27, first for work on rumble strips, glare screens and concrete barriers, then so permanent pavement markings can be placed.

On Wednesday, Oct. 28, westbound I-94 bridge traffic shifts to the two inside lanes. The westbound I-94 ramps to northbound WIS 35 and MN 95 are expected to close at 7 a.m. and reopen by 4:30 p.m., while the southbound WIS 35 ramp to westbound I-94 closes at 8 a.m. and stays closed overnight.

That southbound ramp is expected to reopen Thursday, Oct. 29, after the contractor pours a concrete curb.

The work is weather-dependent, and the project is expected to finish by the second week of November.
