A teacher at a private school in Grand Chute pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to charges alleging she had sexual contact with a 14-year-old boy.
Keisha Stuart, 32, entered the plea to three counts, including second-degree sexual assault of a child and sexual misconduct by a school staff member, according to court records. No trial date was set, and a plea hearing is scheduled for Dec. 10.
Menasha police said Stuart worked at Fundamentals School in Grand Chute, which is not part of the Menasha Joint School District.
According to the criminal complaint, the school alerted police after staff found a letter from Stuart to the teenager that raised suspicions. The complaint says the boy told investigators the relationship became inappropriate, and that authorities found a video of Stuart on his phone.
The complaint says Stuart declined to comment when police arrested her. The charges are allegations, and Stuart is presumed innocent unless convicted.
