A Fond du Lac man is being held on a $1.5 million cash bond after prosecutors filed 16 charges against him in a domestic abuse investigation, according to the Fond du Lac County district attorney's office.
Justin A. Hamilton, 42, was arrested on Oct. 7. Authorities say the investigation involved his wife and another man described as her partner.
The most serious counts are two charges of attempted first-degree intentional homicide. The remaining counts include felony and misdemeanor allegations involving weapons, threats, confinement and property damage, with several counts carrying domestic abuse or dangerous weapon modifiers.
Bond was set at an initial court appearance on Oct. 12. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 5.
All of the charges are allegations at this stage, and Hamilton is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
