Fastenal is accepting applications from Saint Mary's University freshmen and sophomores in Winona for its Co-op Intern Program, with applications due Oct. 30.

The program is a paid, part-time job in which students can also earn internship credit. Schedules are flexible, with students working at least 15 hours a week, and the program is designed specifically for first- and second-year Saint Mary's students.

Students rotate through different parts of the business, with exposure that can include distribution operations, computer and data science, business, communications, entrepreneurship and sales, accounting, finance and economics, and supply chain and product development.

Interns receive mentorship tailored to their career interests, along with networking opportunities and career readiness workshops intended to help them build a network of peers and mentors while they are still in school.

Fastenal is described by Saint Mary's as the largest employer in Winona. The company is headquartered there, operates in all 50 states, and has more than 3,000 locations in 25 countries, selling industrial and construction supplies to other businesses.
