The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has awarded a little over $250,000 in electronics collection grants for 39 projects across 35 counties. The money will support two permanent collection sites and as many as 55 one-day events between October 2026 and December 2027.

In Northeast Wisconsin, B3 Recycling received support for collection events in Calumet, Door, Kewaunee and Manitowoc counties, and Sturgeon Bay Utilities received support for an event in Door County.

Another recipient, Dynamic Lifecycle Innovations, plans events in a long list of counties that includes Forest, Langlade, Marathon, Marinette and Vilas, bringing collection options to parts of the Northwoods and north-central Wisconsin.

The grants come through E-Cycle Wisconsin, the manufacturer-funded program created under the state's 2010 electronics recycling law, which bars many devices from the trash. The DNR says households and schools had recycled about 440 million pounds of electronics through the program as of 2025.

State officials say this round gave priority to counties that do not already have a permanent, public collection site registered with the program. Accepted items commonly include computers, monitors, televisions, printers and cellphones.
