FOX6 says its Contact 6 consumer team helped viewers save $36,816.74 in September, resolving 17 cases during the month.
The largest example in the report involved a Milwaukee woman whose backyard concrete parking slab began crumbling about two years after it was poured. She said the company that did the work promised for two years to return and fix it, and a crew arrived within five days after Contact 6 reached out. The business replaced the whole slab at no cost, a saving she put at about $7,300.
Other September cases included a $3,125.88 refund for a Grafton woman from her mobile carrier after a scammer talked her into buying a phone, and a $287 refund for a Mount Pleasant man from a transit company after a package containing his tablet was lost in the mail.
A Milwaukee woman also received a refund for a rental car that she said a repair shop had promised to pay for while her vehicle was being fixed.
Contact 6 said the September results bring the amount viewers report saving with its help in 2026 to more than $450,000. Viewers can ask the team for help by filing a complaint form through FOX6.
