The Miss Wisconsin Rapids Scholarship Organization crowned two new titleholders on Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Performing Arts Center of Wisconsin Rapids. Addison Morin will serve as Miss Wisconsin Rapids 2027, and Devon Carter will serve as Miss Wisconsin Rapids' Teen 2027.
Twenty-one young women competed in the program. Contestants in both divisions were judged across five phases: interview, talent, evening gown, health and fitness, and an on-stage conversation, with the night built around their community service work and communication skills.
Morin is a student at Lincoln High School and previously held the Teen title in 2024. Her community service initiative, "Hope Starts at Home," focuses on empowering families, supporting survivors and protecting children. She sang "Die On This Hill" for her talent.
Carter also attends Lincoln High School. Her initiative, "Move Your Body, Transform Your Life," promotes physical activity, and she performed a hip-hop dance to "School's Out" as her talent.
Contestants spent months preparing through talent rehearsals, mock interviews and weekly workshops. Morin and Carter will represent the Wisconsin Rapids area for the next year and will compete at Miss Wisconsin in June.
